My new toy arrived on the post today. Or, to be honest, my new toy arrived at the local shop/postal office today. I had to go and get it.
It is a Tokina 100mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro D. Lots of letters, must be good right? I’ve started to play with it a little bit and it seems to do the job as expected.
It is a 1:1 macro and at 100mm you still have to get pretty close to what you’re shooting. And as windy as it is where we live, there is nothing at that magnification that stands still. In other words, macro photography just by the coast requires a lot of patience. Please god give me patience, but do it now. Or better yet, just let the wind die down for a moment.
Well, a strawberry indoors is pretty immobile. Who knew a strawberry was a tiny bit hairy?
